DEUTEROCANONICAL BOOKS OF THE BIBLE (APOCRYPHA)

The "deuterocanonical" or "Apocryphal" books are part of the Greek Septuagint and are included in Catholic, Orthodox and even some Jewish Bibles, but not in most Protestant Bibles. Below is an introduction that explains why. There is a list of these books, with links to them at the website of the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops.
